How can I get a customized application that performs encryption/decryption for AFRD? |
AFRD was designed to use the S/MIME version 3/PKCS#7 standard to secure files. There are numerous vendors that offer a toolkit to assist in the creation of a customized program. The S/MIME Toolkit Guide, found in the Learning Center at citidirect.com, describes the various third party vendor toolkits that support S/MIME messaging with the CitiDirect AFRD service. The aim of the document is to facilitate the process of developing a custom application for automation of the procedure for encrypting/signing payment files or decrypting/signature-verifying export files.
Citigroup does not recommend one toolkit over another. One of the reasons CitiDirect AFRD was designed to be consistent with the S/MIME version 3/PKCS #7 standard is to avoid relying on one specific technology. Moreover, Citigroup does not provide technical support on the development or post-implementation support of the customized program. |
