Microsoft IE settings required for CitiDirect to run on Sun Java Software

Your computer must have all of the following components enabled: Cookies, Java Scripts, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol, Internet Security Options, and Proxy Server (if you have one).
Please set your Internet Options as outlined below based on the version of Internet Explorer (IE) installed on your computer. If you are unable to set the Internet Options, please print this page and contact your company's Systems Administrator. The IE Settings information is provided by Microsoft® Product Support Services.
Cookies
IE Version 5.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click Custom Level.
Scroll down to Cookies.
Click Enable for both Allow cookies that are stored on your computer and Allow per-session cookies (not stored).
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
IE Version 6.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Privacy tab.
Move the slider down to Medium.
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
Internet Security Options
IE Version 5.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
When the dialog box appears, click the Security tab.
Click Internet zone and then move the slider to Medium.
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
IE Version 6.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
When the dialog box appears, click the Security tab.
Click Internet zone and then click the Default Level button.
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
ActiveX Controls
IE Version 5.x and 6.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click Custom Level.
Scroll down to ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
Click Enable for Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins.
Click Enable for Script ActiveX marked safe for scripting.
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
Java Scripts
IE Version 5.x & 6.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Security tab, and then click Custom Level.
Scroll down to Scripting.
Click Enable for both Active scripting and Scripting of Java applets.
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
Proxy Server (if your system has one)
IE Version 5.x & 6.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Connections tab, and then click LAN Settings.
Click on Advanced.
HTTP and Secure should have the Address and Port of your Proxy server.
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Protocol
IE Version 5.x & 6.x
From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab scroll down to Security.
Click both:
Use SSL 2.0
Use SSL 3.0
Click OK until you return to Internet Explorer. |
