What is the difference between Set 1 and Set 2 notifications?
There is actually no functional difference between the two. You could use Set 2 notification in the event that you are creating an alert that will be delivered to you or another person via a method different than that in Set 1. For example:

Notifications are created in Set 1
Let’s assume that your alerts are set up to be delivered to your e-mail account
There is a specific payment, however, that you want to receive notification on through another delivery channel, or that you want delivered to another person
In this case, you would also set up the payment notification using the Set 2 notification feature in addition to the Set 1 since you want to receive the information differently than you normally would
